Certificate 3 in ChildCare qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, encourage understanding of early childhood education and care and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

This qualification will be delivered over 52 weeks, including 40 weeks of training and assessment spread over 4 terms of 10 weeks each and 12 weeks of holidays.
The qualification requires that a work placement of 160 hours is completed.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study.

Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the CHC50121Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge, and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning). The granting of course credit may affect course fees, as well as the duration of the course.
